Important COVID-19 Healthcare Service Statement
Elevate Your Healthcare at Refuge Acupuncture
The Covid-19 pandemic has pushed millions of people indoors, leading to sedentary situations involving working from home, online education, and socializing online. As all of these activities have us sitting more and moving less, there is a spike in non-covid related health problems all throughout the U.S. At Refuge Acupuncture, we understand this ongoing crisis and are fully committed and prepared to help our community return to a healthy and active lifestyle.
Refuge Acupuncture is built upon a foundation of promoting good health, so the safety of our patients and staff is our top priority. We have structured our policies to protect everyone’s safety as much as possible and ensure the thorough sanitization of our facilities. At Refuge Acupuncture, we are aware that our community needs the benefits of acupuncture now more than ever, and we are committed to serving our patients as we get through this together.
Covid-19 Policy
Keeping in mind the heightened standards of hygiene as per CDC guidance and recommendations from the WHO, we have incorporated a thorough sanitation system with frequent cleaning. The Refuge staff is required to wear masks at all times and wash their hands or use hand sanitizer as often as possible. In addition to this, our seating and waiting arrangements have been structured to accommodate social distancing. We also stagger our patient appointments to minimize crowding inside the building.
For our practitioners and patients
At Refuge Acupuncture we are committed to ensuring the safety and comfort of our patients and essential workers. As the work of acupuncturists is hands-on, our practitioners will follow the standard practice of handwashing before and after seeing every patient. It is also a standard practice at Refuge to use disposable needles, so the needles used on you have not been used on any other patients. We ensure that the environment, including all surfaces that can be touched, are absolutely sterile.
We request that our patients wear masks when visiting Refuge in compliance with Colorado’s current mask orders. If you’ve been having any flu-like symptoms, we request that you refrain from visiting until at least 24-hours after the symptoms have passed. In the clinic, patients are asked to follow safety precautions including washing their hands and social distancing when possible. We advise patients to avoid touching their faces after touching any surfaces and not to cover their faces with their hands while coughing or sneezing. We recommend that patients not bring guests to their appointment and if they do, they should wait in the car. This is to reduce congestion inside the building.
The pandemic has also resulted in increased stress levels. Our team at Refuge Acupuncture values the physical and mental health of our patients and we are dedicated to alleviating these problems as much as possible through our acupuncture services. For our patients’ better understanding about the Covid-19 pandemic, here are some resources from the CDC and the WHO:
At Refuge Acupuncture we are committed to doing our part as healthcare providers in resolving this crisis, and we are dedicated to helping our community stay healthy through the Covid-19 pandemic.
